With the tough times brought around by the coronavirus pandemic, most people in the world have been trying to adopt measures that will help curb the spread.
A disabled Belgium man identified as Robert Murphy has a different story to tell after he tried asking a passenger to wear their mask on.
Murphy who had wounds around his chest area claimed that an angry bus passenger bit him.
According to the New York Post, he said he was chomped on twice on the chest by the 38-year-old man who boarded the bus with his partner.
The couple had their masks tucked under their chins and sat directly across from Murphy, 56, prompting him to ask them to put them on the right way.
“I just asked the man to wear the mask properly over his nose. The man refused and a fight ensued," said Murphy.
According to the 56-year-old, he tried pulling free from the angry man but he was unable due to his condition.
“I tried to pull myself free, but I am disabled so it was not easy. We tussled until the man threw himself at my chest and bit me. I could not believe it. He was like a mad dog. I pushed him away, but he wouldn’t leave me alone. The whole time he tried to bite me again," said the old man.
According to reports, passengers intervened and yanked the man away from Murphy and together with his partner jumped off the bus and fled.
The two were later arrested by Belgium police. Murphy went to the hospital for treatment for the bite marks.
