Ghanaian dancehall singer, Livingstone Etse Satekla, better known by his stage name Stonebwoy, attracted massive crowd today while going to register for in the new voter identification exercise.
A video sighted by YEN.com.gh captured the “Putuu” singer in an SUV and trying to meander his way through the thick human traffic as he continually waved his Voter’s ID card at his fans who cheered him on.
The rising cases of COVID-19 in the country could not even deter the BHIM fans from reveling in the rare moment as they jumped over each other just to catch a glimpse of the Sobolo hitmaker.
The video clearly showed that Stonebwoy commands the “superstar status” as far as music in Ghana is concerned.
Meanwhile, Stonebwoy has been in the news lately for many reasons.
One of the reasons was the fact that he launched an entrepreneurship skills development training programme for residents of Ashaiman to help alleviate the impact of the coronavirus on the livelihoods of the youth.
Another reason for which the award-winning artiste was mentioned in the news was when he released his “Putuu” song which has received a lot some praise and backlash.
While others thought that Stonebwoy has built a golden reputation for himself to record what they termed a “gibberish” song, others thought the song was a jam.
YEN.com.gh earlier reported that two of Ghana’s most talked-about musicians, AY Poyoo and Patapaa Amisty, have met to combine their lyrical dexterity on a verse remixing Stonebwoy’s viral Putuu song.
The video which was sighted on Instagram, saw the two music stars standing outside and dropping their lyrics on a beat that was playing on a phone.
Patapaa introduced his popular ‘Scopatumana’ lines on the beat while AY Poyoo threw in some more gibberish and added lines from Stonebwoy’s Putuu song.
