Kantanka motors begin assembling smaller cars after competition from VW and Nissan

Local car manufacturers, Kantanka Automobile has begun assembling smaller cars for the Ghanaian market.

It is obvious that the automobile company which formerly focused on assembling pick-up trucks, SUVs, and 4 by 4 vehicles have are feeling pressured from VW and Nissan who have been permitted to set-up assembly plants in Ghana.

In a Facebook post sighted by YEN.com.gh, on Ghana the Black Star of Africa, it is believed that the competition created by the VW and Nissan plants in Ghana would drive innovation.

It is also believed that Ghanaians would be the ultimate beneficiaries.

The move by the local automobile company has drawn a lot of reactions from Ghanaians.

Meanwhile, YEN.com.gh earlier reported that Kantanka Automobile, a local car manufacturing company, released a new model of cars named the Omama which is a beautiful 4x4 pickup vehicle.

Kwadwo Safo Jnr, the CEO of the Kantanka Group of companies under which the Ghanaian automobile company is a subsidiary, revealed this on his Twitter handle.

Apart from the stunning exterior design of the Omama, she is also stuffed with amazing features on the dashboard and has stirred up reactions among Ghanaians on Twitter.
