President Akufo-Addo commends Stonebwoy for registering for the new Voters ID

President Akufo-Addo has commended Dancehall artiste, Stonebwoy, for going out to register for the new Voters ID.

In a tweet sighted by YEN.com.gh, President Akufo-Addo gave the Putuu hitmaker a thumbs up for registering and securing his right to vote in December.

Over the weekend, Stonebwoy went out to register for the new Voters ID and was greeted by a mammoth crowd.

He shared photos of himself going through the registration stage on Twitter and this caught Akufo-Addo's attention.

Tweeting at Stonebwoy, the President wrote:

@stonebwoyb for registering and securing your right to vote in December. #RegisterToVote2020.

Stonebwoy on the other hand quickly replied saying:

Thanks Your Excellency. Its Our Civic Responsibility As Citizens Not Spectators.

Akufo-Addo's tweet at Stonebwoy comes after he also congratulated Dancehall king, Shatta Wale on his feature with Beyoncé on the Already song and Black is King movie.

YEN.com.gh earlier reported that renowned Ghanaian gospel singer, Sonnie Badu, has replied to the people criticising Stonebwoy over his Putuu freestyle song.

Since the release of the song, several industry players have criticised him for singing what they say is a 'senseless' song.

In an interview with Celebritiesbuzz monitored by YEN.com.gh, Sonnie Badu stated that the more people criticise Stonebwoy's Putuu song, the more he makes money from that particular song.
