President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo earlier said he was not aware of any form intimidation by any group of people in any of the Electoral Commission’s voters registration exercise centers across the country.
According to him, what he knows was that the exercise was going on smoothly.
“What I have heard is that the exercise is going on smoothly in Asawase and Asokore-Mampong, we thank God for that. That is the most important thing to us all to leave in unity and peace “ he stated.

The comments by the president have drawn a lot of criticisms from Ghanaians.
Paa Qweku Killy said he is shocked to hear this
I'm not shocked to hear it because if you are aware of how the country is moving like you would have been ashamed of your governance.......
Prince A Larbi said he zealously went to register to vote against him.
Your loss will also come as a huge surprise to you and your people.. Everything is clear.. I zealously went to register only to vote against you
Because you are more Ghanaian than those they are intimidating in registration centres.
John J. Mensah believes the president is pretending to be asleep.
You're pretending to be sleeping. You are not a good father. A good father is not supposed to be selective.

Meanwhile, the National Communications Officer for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Sammy Gyamfi, has underscored the need for eligible voters to go out in their numbers to register for the new voters roll.
According to him, it is very important to register in order to vote out the “tyranny” of the Akufo-Addo-led New Patriotic Party (NPP) government.
Sammy Gyamfi said there seemed to be a deliberate agenda of tribal discrimination hatched by Nana Addo's NPP to frustrate and disenfranchise Ghanaians of certain tribes.
