Charterhouse gives new dates for 2020 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards

- Charterhouse has announced two new dates for the 2020 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA)

- The event is expected to take place on Friday 28th and Saturday 29th August awards weekend

- The event will solely be broadcasted on TV and Digital platforms with no public attendance.

Charterhouse, organizer of the annual Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, has stated that this year's edition will take place Friday 28th and Saturday 29th August.

According to the organizer, due to the outbreak of the deadly Coronavirus, some notable events within the festival, like the Nominees Jam and Celebrations Jam, will not be held.

This year's VGMA Unsung will also be telecasted on TV and Digital platforms as a pre-produced concert that will allow public voting and participation. Out of over 5,000 social media submissions, six individuals have been selected for the Unsung category.

The six talented people are Imrana, Gyakie, Teflon Flexx, Kofi Jamar, Sherry Boss, and Abochi.

This year's VGMAs will also feature performances from some top Ghanaian artistes.

According to the 'Melissa' hitmaker, his major aim is to help change the Ghanaian music industry from its current state to a better place.

In an interview with Ghana News Agency monitored by, Shatta Wale disclosed he is determined to do everything possible to ensure he puts Ghana on the map through his music.
