The National Democratic Congress's (NDC) vice presidential candidate, Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang is starting her tour of the Greater Accra Region today, Monday, August 10, 2020.

She expected to be in the Shai Osudoku constituency “to deliver her message of hope and total transformation when the NDC takes over power in January 2021.”

A statement from the NDC’s Greater Accra Regional Secretariat says she will also pay a courtesy call to the Greater Accra Regional House of Chiefs.

The statement also read:

“Prof. Opoku Agyemang will address a mini-rally at Rama Town with strict observation of the U.N. Prescribed COVID-19 Safety Protocols."

The NDC running mate embarked on a similar tour in the Central Region last month.

The tour of the Central Region happened to be her first after she was confirmed as the running mate of the NDC for the December 2020 polls.

Over a period of three days she visited her hometown, Komenda, Effie Amissah-Arthur (mother of the late Vice President, H.E. Paa Kwesi Amissah-Arthur), and the hometown of the late Professor John Evans Fiifi Atta-Mills.

In other news, the flag-bearer of the National Democratic Congress, John Dramani Mahama has stated he is not against the Free SHS education policy on Twitter.

However, he has an issue with the poor implementation by the Akufo-Addo government.

The Free SHS education policy is the flagship policy of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP). It has ensured that hundreds of thousands of students are in secondary school.
