87% of men do not marry for love - Woman reveals

- A lady with the name Sharon Godwin has said most men do not marry because of love

- Sharon added that they marry out of a way to pay the woman they must have stayed long with

- Other reasons she cited were social pressure and avoidance of drama

A young lady who goes by the name Sharon Godwin on Twitter has spoken about the reasons why 87% of men marry.

She said that they marry because they feel they owe the women. Another reason she cited for going into a marital relationship is as a compensation to the person they have dated for long.

Sharon did not stop at those reasons as she gave more enough to start trending conversations on social media. The lady added that sometimes people marry because their partners have had kids for them or many times aborted.

She ended her tweet by saying that "Too many men marry bc of social pressure & fear of drama" and because they indeed love the person.

There were mixed reactions to her tweet as many did not agree with Sharon's submission. See what people said below:

Meanwhile, it was earlier reported that a Nigerian woman with the name Clara Chekwube spoke about what is expected of a woman in marriage.

In a post on the micro-messaging platform on Friday, May 8, she said "no matter how modern the world gets", she will never believe she and her husband are mates.

Chekwube went further and said that there is always a hierarchy in marriage, adding that she believes as a traditional woman, her "husband is the head of the home. She added that he is the CEO and she could be the manager.

In other news, a gentleman simply identified as Kofi has been captured weeping like a day-old baby after listening to a conversation that ensued between his girlfriend and his best friend.

In the video sighted by YEN.com.gh on the Facebook handle of OMGVoice, the young man sat down as the recorded phone call was played to him, during which he burst out in tears.

One of Kofi's friends who was by him tried to comfort the brokenhearted man but Kofi was too emotional to calm down.
