Patapaa’s father, Kwesi Amoah, has spoken for the first time following reports that his son has been poisoned.
Reports went viral on Monday, August 10, 2020, the One Corner hitmaker, known in private life as Justice Amoah, has been hospitalised
According to the report, Patapaa was fighting for his life over suspected case of poisoning he was said to have suffered.
Patapaa reportedly took a drink on Sunday, August 9, 2020. and started vomiting not long after gulping it down.
In a video which accompanied the report, the sensational musician was seen lying helpless on a hospital
But in an interview with Adom FM, Patapaa's father has denied the reports that the singer had been poisoned.
Though he confirmed that Patapaa was sick, Kwesi Amoah stated that it was not poisoning as has been reported.
Patapaa's father indicated that his son had been sick for some time now saying:
"It is not poison, he is sick. It is not confirmed but he is not well for almost two weeks now. He was even supposed to be in Accra."
Talking of the video, Patapaa's father explained that his son does not really like going to hospitals but had to visit a local clinic for first aid when his situation became critical.
It is a small hospital and he went there for first aid. He could not even drive. Though there is a government hospital, people do not like going there.
He, however, said he doesn’t know why some of his team members would decide to put such a video out in the public.
Meanwhile, Patapaa recently revealed that he nearly passed away after his friends poisoned him sometime in 2019.
According to the Scopatumana hitmaker, his friends poisoned his food because they were jealous of him and wanted him dead.
His revelation confirmed a prophecy by Prophet Reindolph Oduro Gyebi's, popularly known as Eagle Prophet, from 2018 that Patapaa was going to die in 2019 from food poisoning.
The founder and general overseer of God’s Crown Chapel during a church programme said in 2019, close friends of Patapaa would take his life through food poisoning.
He urged the musician to be careful with people he walks with because they are the ones plotting against him.
As to whether he knew which of his friends did the monstrous act, Patapaa in an interview monitored by YEN.com.gh, said he was unable to pinpoint which of them tried to take his life because they were many.
