The General Secretaries of Ghana’s two biggest political parties are leading their charges as the political season is here.
On Monday, August 10, 2020, the General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), John Boadu, held a press conference in Accra to attack and correct some wrong assertions by certain bigwigs of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
One of the NDC people he addressed was his opposite number, Johnson Asiedu Nketia.

Boadu accused Asiedu-Nketia of busing foreigners from neighboring countries into Ghana to register in the just-ended voter register exercise, particularly Banda Kabrono.
Asiedu-Nketia said Banda Karbrono, which is a border town in the Bono Region, is a stronghold of the NPP.
In an interview on Joy FM to respond to the NPP’s General Secretary’s allegations, the man who is popularly known as General Mosquito opined that John Boadu is a lunatic who only spews rubbish at every opportunity.
“If John Boadu was in his right senses, he will not come and sit on television and be claiming they were sent [alleged Ivorian nationals] by Asiedu Nketia. From where?” Asiedu Nketia fumed.
“Please, I want Joy Fm to expose the lunacy in politics, the lunatic that is parading as General Secretary in this country,” he added.

YEN.com.gh earlier reported that former president, John Dramani Mahama, has described the just ended 2020 voters' registration exercise as a successful one.
John Mahama and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) initially opposed the Electoral Commission’s (EC) decision to compile a new register for the 2020 polls.
However, in a Facebook Live interview, the NDC leader declared that the EC’s exercise met the expectations of the party.
