Gospel musician, Nicholas Omane Acheampong, has accused the New Patriotic Party (NPP) of neglect after he spent time composing a new song for the party.
The Tabitha Kum hitmaker said he has sung a new free SHS song for the NPP, but the party is refusing to accept the song and give it airplay.
A disappointed Acheampong said he has been to all his contacts and big men in the NPP, however, not one of them is minding him.
Omane Acheampong lamented:
“When I go to this person, he redirects me and tells me to go here, go there, in the end, I see no one. They are not minding me. I have made the song with my time, take it and play for people to hear and vote for Nana Akufo-Addo but they are not minding me."
The Zephaneth-Paneea singer made these revelations in an interview monitored by YEN.com.gh on TV3. According to him, his intention for composing that song is not to earn anything from the NPP, but to help sell the party’s policies.
He added that when the NPP was in opposition, he and Akufo-Addo were good friends. However, now that the party is in power, the people around the president are not allowing him to see him.
Meanwhile, veteran actress Maame Dokono has also been in the news for crying about similar treatment from the NPP. The actress said things have become worse for her after betraying the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and campaigning for the NDC in the 2012/2016 elections.
A close friend revealed how former president and flagbearer of the NDC, John Mahama, supports Maame Dokono with donations after the NPP turned their back on her.
Maame Dokono also made headlines when she said she has regretted campaigning for the NPP.
