The Member of Parliament (MP) for Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency, Lydia Seyram Alhassan, has donated some items, as well as money, to those who lost properties following a fire outbreak at Shiashie, a suburb of Accra.
She revealed that the situation has been reported to the relevant authorities and they are hopeful that life would return to normalcy in due time.
According to her, she had donated some dry food items, buckets and clothes to those affected but that is not enough.

She, therefore, called on all well-meaning Ghanaians to come in to assist the victims.
YEN.com.gh earlier reported that some parts of Shiashie and East Legon have been rocked by a fire explosion which has caused massive damage.
The sad incident occurred in the late hours of Friday, August 14, 2020, and it caused a power outage in the affected areas
According to reports, the explosion rocked the plush neighbourhood in Accra between 11 pm and 1 am and razed down a number of properties.
According to eyewitnesses, some 100 wooden structures popularly known as kiosks were totally destroyed by the raging fire.
