GHc325m Takoradi Market Circle project to be completed In 30 Months - Akufo-Addo

- He revealed that this particular project is dear to his heart, as it is going to commence under his administration

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has revealed that the GHc325million Takoradi Market Circle project is expected to be completed in the next 30 months.

In a news repot filed by the presidency, the president revealed that this particular project is dear to his heart, as it is going to commence under his administration.

He made this known at the sod-cutting ceremony to commence the construction of the aforementioned project in the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolis during his working visit to the Western Region.

When completed, the market is expected to have the following 2,408 stores; 33 restaurants and food courts; bulk breaking areas; visitors parking; union offices; police station; fire station; post office; clinic; administrative offices; waste separation dock; and changing rooms for staff

Additionally, once completed, the project will reduce traffic congestion in the surrounding areas of the market.

The project would also contribute to creating between 400 to 500 direct jobs and between 1,000 to 2,500 indirect jobs.

In other news, the Minister in charge of the Agriculture sector, Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto has revealed that the government’s One Village One Dam initiative is an expensive venture.

According to him, for the initiative to be implemented effectively, it requires a lot of time to be done.

He used the opportunity to, therefore, ask that the good people of Ghana would retain the Akufo-Addo-led administration come December 7 to continue with the dam infrastructure they have initiated in the northern part of the country.
