Former President John Dramani Mahama has expressed regrets over his inability to complete the works he started on the Eastern Corridor road

According to him, all the segments of the roads were being worked on before he was unseated by President Akufo-Addo.

Addressing Chiefs and people of Peki in the Volta Region Mahama stated emphatically that his government would have continued with the good work it started on the Eastern Corridor roads.

“My regret is that we did not complete the famous Eastern Corridor road before we left. By the time we left, all segments of it were being worked on,” he said.

The Eastern Corridor road links Greater Accra, Eastern, Ashanti, Volta, Oti and Upper East regions.

The Eastern Corridor road is an important road that links the northern part of the country to the southern areas.

In other news, the flagbearer for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) John Mahama has challenged president Akufo-Addo to debate with respect to infrastructural development in each of their governments.

Mahama stated that he is ready to present himself for a debate anytime, any day should he be called upon it.

His challenge comes after Vice President Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia’s data-driven presentation on August 18, 2020, on infrastructural achievements of the NPP.
