According to the UK Mirror, there was a big outbreak of coronavirus at a school in Scotland just days after it reopened.

Seventeen teachers at Kingspark School in Dundee tested positive for the virus. To make everything worse, two students also tested positive with three other community contacts.

Just before the latest outbreak, another school also suffered the same fate. There is, however, an ongoing investigation to determine the cause of the sudden outbreak.

NHS Tayside and Dundee City Council also took the decision to shut schools in the community for at least a week for a good resolution of the crisis.

All staff members have now been asked to go into self-isolation to curtail the further spread of the disease. People who live with the students have also been asked to follow the same guideline if they were unable to maintain social distancing with them from Thursday, August 20.

"The school remains closed and all staff and pupils continue to self-isolate. The advice issued by the IMT on Friday is all staff should self-isolate for 14 days from the last day they were on site. All pupils should self-isolate for 14 days from Thursday, 20 August,” an official statement partly said.

The government also said that testing is available for all staff of the school and anybody who may have been affected by the outbreak.

Meanwhile, after one week after reopening, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill has cancelled in-class lectures due to cases of coronavirus in the school.

The decision was made after more than 130 students tested positive for COVID-19 and 300 forced to quarantine a week after the school reopened.

The disclosure was made in a letter posted to students on the campus website by the university's chancellor.

It was gathered that the school said classes would be held online going forward, along with academic support services.

Five people working with the institution also tested positive for the deadly disease.
