Awards would be given to deserving stars on Friday and Saturday
A concert in honor of Ghana's health workers fighting the deadly COVID-19 would climax the music fiesta
The much-awaited Vodafone Ghana Music Awards which had been postponed this year to the outbreak of COVID-19 is set to come off from Friday, August 28 to Sunday, August 30, 2020.
In a press release from the show's organizers, Charter House, the modus operandi of the show would take a different turn this year.
According to Charter House, the 2020 edition of the night of music and recognition would take a whole weekend.
The press release stated that the awards part of the show would last for 2 days i.e Friday and Saturday.
On Sunday, there would be a mega concert which would aim to honor the frontline workers of COVID-19.
According to the press release, the said concert has been duly dubbed: the VGMA COVID-19 Heroes Concert which would start at 8pm.
Unlike yesteryears, the 2020 edition of the music festival would not see the sale of tickets but would be aired live on TV for lovers of music to catch the entire show in the comfort of their homes.
Both award nights would start airing at 8pm on stations like TV3 in Ghana, Soundcity TV, The Base TV, Rok Ghana on DSTV & GOtv in Africa, and worldwide via the internet on MTVbase and on Ghana Music Awards social media pages.
Among the many top stars billed to perform over the weekend include EL, Kidi, Adina, Kuami Eugene, Kofi Kinaata, Medikal, Kwesi Arthur, Akwaboah, King Promise, Eno Barony, Strongman, Celestine Donkor, Ras Kuku, Efya, Kofi Mole, Epixode and many more.

The award-winning radio presenter, to mark his wife’s birthday which is today, August 25, 2020, took to his Instagram page to splash photos of her on his wall.
He did not only post photos but brought out the poet in him as he adorned his wife with gracious and romantic words in her honour.
