YEN.com.gh previously reported how Afia Schwar declared that she will vote for President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo in the 2020 elections.
While Afia Schwar openly campaigned for Mahama in the 2016 elections which he lost to Akufo-Addo, she thinks the current president deserves a second term more than the former who she often describes as her father.
Ina video, Afia Schwar explained her decision, saying that Akufo-Addo had done very well and thus deserves a second term.
According to her, she would have loved to give her vote to her ‘father’ John Mahama but looking at the fact that her twin sons, James and John, are beneficiaries of Akufo-Addo’s flagship Free SHS policy, she will vote for him.
She added that just as her kids had benefited from the programme, she wanted other parents to also enjoy it, hence, her campaign message for Akufo-Addo and the NPP.
