The concept that Kumasi is the Ghanaian version of America, has been trending online for some time and Shatta Wale has joined the movement with a song.

Reports sighted by YEN.com.gh indicate that the song titled 'Kumerica' by the renowned dancehall artiste, is meant to be the official anthem of the United States of Asante.

Ahead of the official release a video of Shatta Wale jamming to the song whilst in a car went viral on social media as it stirred great excitement.

Many Ghanaians have been reacting massively after the Kumerica songs started making waves online.

Lambert added photos of a currency of the Kumerica 'country' starring the Otumfuo himself:

@Donkorolivia5 indicated that she thought that the Kumerica song was composed by Medikal because of how rich the rap content was.

@shattabaconfirm added to the trend, saying that the song had so much versatility

In another interesting report, Christopher Okpoti Adjei, a 16-year-old junior high school student in Ghana has become the youngest referee in the country following an appointment from the Ghana Football Association (GFA).

According to reports by the Ghanafa.org and Ghanaweb.com, the teenager was selected as part of an initiative by the GFA to train young referees in the country.

A report dated August 26, 2020, on the GFA's website mentions that the association had launched the “Catch Them Young Refereeing” programme designed to identify, educate and train young talents between the ages of 13-16 to officiate juvenile matches within their regions.
