The coronavirus disease otherwise known as the COVID-19 has disrupted a lot of political events and rallies that political parties scheduled to take place.
Political parties however are doing everything within their means to convince them the nod to retain them in power again.
Senior Minister, Yaw Osafo-Maafo, has underscored the need for all members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to intensify their house-to-house campaigns.
This is according to him, would help the party retain political power in the upcoming December 7, 2020, general election as reported by Graphic.com.gh.
Speaking at the inauguration of a 27-member election campaign committee for the Oda Constituency of the NPP in Oda he said the longer the NPP stayed in power, the more opportunities the various communities could benefit from the government in terms of the provision of quality development projects.
Osafo-Maafo said the only alternative was for the members to move from house to house to educate the electorate on the need to retain the NPP in power in the upcoming general election.
According to Osafo-Maafo, the NPP was the only political party that had initiated many social interventions for the country, unlike its political opponent, the NDC
In other news, the National Youth Organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Henry Nana Boakye, is calling on Ghanaians to always remember President Nana Akufo-Addo in prayers for his exemplary leadership.
According to Nana Boakye, President Akufo-Addo needs the support and prayers of every Ghanaian to do more Ghana.
In a radio discussion monitored by YEN.com.gh on Peace FM on Monday, August 31, the man who is affectionately called Nana B opined the NPP leaders needs to be given another four-year term to continue with the good job he is doing for the country.
