Mahama's name popped up over 1000 times at NPP's manifesto launch - NDC alleges

- An NDC communicator is alleging the President Akufo-Addo and Bawumia mention the NDC's flagbearer's name 1,070 times during their manifesto launch

Kwaku Agyekum, a communication member of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), has bemoaned the “self-appraisal” attitude of the NPP.

He says the New Patriotic Party Party (NPP) should focus on getting the job done to make Ghanaians comfortable and stop referring to the for NDC administration for all their flaws.

Speaking on Neat FM in Accra on Monday, August 31, 2020, Agyekum said the NPP has failed Ghanaians in governing the country but all they do is mention John Mahama’s name when they are faced with issues.

According to him, between President Nana Akufo-Addo and Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, they mentioned the NDC flag bearer’s names almost 1,070 times at the launch of the NPP’s manifesto in Cape Coast.

He asked why the NPP is still complaining about Mr. John Dramani Mahama when Ghanaians have given Akufo-Addo and Bawumia four years to do what the NDC flagbearer couldn’t do.

Tell the people what you will do, what you have done, and leave John Mahama alone,” he said.

President Akufo-Addo and his Vice, Dr. Bawumia mentioned John Mahama’s name almost 1,070 times during their manifesto launch.

He also scolded NPP for not giving credit to the former president for the good work he did while in power.

The NPP and NDC will be the two main contenders in the upcoming December 7, elections. The two parties will go head-to-head in the presidential and parliamentary elections.

President Nana Akufo-Addo is currently in the Volta Region campaigning, while his closest contender, John Mahama is at Wa with his campaign.

YEN.com.gh earlier reported the National Youth Organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Henry Nana Boakye, is calling on Ghanaians to always remember President Nana Akufo-Addo in prayers for his exemplary leadership.

According to Nana Boakye, President Akufo-Addo needs the support and prayers of every Ghanaian to do more Ghana.

In a radio discussion monitored by YEN.com.gh on Peace FM on Monday, August 31, the man who is affectionately called Nana B, opined the NPP leader needs to be given another four-year term to continue with the good job he is doing for the country.
