Kumawood actor, Papa Kumasi, has warned Shatta Wale to disassociate himself from the trending Kumerica tag.
He said Shatta Wale should stop forcing himself into the trend because he is not recognised as one of the ‘Kumericans’.
According to Papa Kumasi, Shatta Wale was trying to take the shine from the real ‘Kumericans’ with his action. Something he said would not be tolerated by the ‘Kumerican’ group.
This is contained in a report sighted by YEN.com.gh on zionfelix.net.
The Kumerican trend is gaining massive attention on social media after a group of people came together to say the capital of the Ashanti Region, Kumasi has become a country on its own and was now called Kumerica.
Many people from the Ashanti Region have joined in the trend and have had T-shirts, passports, and others printed.
Papa Kumasi added that musicians outside of Kumasi should not engage themselves in the movement in order for Kumasi-based musicians to use the opportunity to shine.
”All the musicians outside Kumasi should stick to ‘paaaah,’ ‘Paah Paaah Paaah’ and ‘Bhiiim’ so that the boys in Kumasi can also project themselves with ‘Kumerica,” Papa Kumasi said.
Shatta Wale has already composed a song to support the new Kumerica trend, however, he is being asked to stop.
