The acting Managing Director of GHOne TV, Nana Aba Anamoah, has spoken about the controversial UN Global Leadership Awards that is gaining traction on social media.
The award scheme presented plaques to popular people including Sarkodie, D-Black, Berla Mundi, and a host of others.
However, it has been revealed that the scheme is a scam, and the award itself a fake one.
This has generated controversy in the media with the various people who got them awards being trolled on social media.
Some wondered why Nana Aba Anamoah was not among those who were presented with the awards.
According to her, she swerved the award when the organisers contacted her way back in July.
Nana Aba shared photos from WhatsApp conversations she had with those who contacted her.
In the message, she registered her displeasure in the award saying that she was not interested because she knew nothing about it.
Meanwhile, YEN.com.gh has published the list of celebrities caught up in the fake award scheme.
Rapper and entrepreneur, Desmond Kwesi Blackmore, known in entertainment circles as D-Black, who was one of the recipients has reacted to the news of his award being fake.
In a post sighted by YEN.com.gh on Twitter, D-Black has lashed out at critics of the award and citation he received last week.
