Ghanaian singer Wendy Shay has waded into the controversy surrounding the ‘fake’ UN Global Leadership Award mocking the recipients.
In her tweet sighted by YEN.com.gh, Wendy Shay said Ghanaian celebrities needed to “wake up” and shun doing certain things.
She added in the Ga language that the awards the celebrities rush for do not even offer a penny, wondering why they would be clamouring for a dubious award.
She wrote: “When I tell Ghana to wake up U ppl think I’m joking So nobody could research about the background of dis (UN award ) Ghanafour p3 Award Award ne ha t)L) Ghana wake up !!”
Her tweet comes on the heels of the 'fake' UN Global Leadership Award that has rocked some celebrities.
This has generated controversy in the media with the various people who got them awards being trolled on social media.
