Ghanaians will go to the polls on December 7, 2020, to elect a new president and Parliamentarians.
Since 1992, Ghana’s politics has been a two-horse race between the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
The two main political parties have been promising Ghanaians all sorts of things to convince them for their votes.
The NPP flagship program, the Free SHS policy, seems to be doing the trick for the incumbent government.
The NDC is expected to outline a number of promises and programs for Ghanaians when they launch their 2020 manifesto on Monday, September 7, 2020.
In a market survey conducted by YEN.com.gh, a market woman said President Nana Akufo-Addo deserves “8 more years” to deliver more for the people of Ghana.
She cited the NPP's SHS policy, and the other social interventions it outlined in their 2020 manifesto.
She prayed Ghanaians not to take the country’s process back by voting for the NDC.
“Ghanaians should know that forward ever, backward never”.
YEN.com.gh earlier reported that President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has pledged to do whatever is necessary to strengthen the already-strong relations between Ghana and Nigeria.
He said it is important for the progress of West Africa and, indeed, Africa, that Ghana and Nigeria are seen to be working together.
The president made this known on Thursday, September 3, 2020, when the Speaker of the House of Representatives of Nigeria, Femi Gbajabiamila, paid a courtesy call on him at Jubilee House, Ghanaian Times reported.
