The reigning 2020 VGMA Artiste of the Year, Kuami Eugene, has finally revealed why he decided to go for rasta hair.
He said the idea came to him during the break of the coronavirus in Ghana somewhere in March this year.
Kuami Eugene said he was protecting himself and did not want any barber coming to his house to shave his hair.
And being a hairy person, the hair grew faster and became rasta by itself. Now, though the restriction on movement has been eased and the coronavirus cases have reduced, Kuami Eugene says he would want to keep his rasta hair for some time.
He was speaking in an interview monitored by YEN.com.gh on TV3’s Showbiz 360 programmed hosted by Giovanni Caleb.
Meanwhile, Kuami Eugene has been trending in the news following his VGMA award.
In an earlier report by YEN.com.gh, he revealed how disappointed he was in Sarkodie who did not congratulate him on the award.
Kuami Eugene said Diana Hamilton, who was also a nominee together with Sarkodie, Medikal, and Kofi Kinaata, has also not called to congratulate him as has long been the norm.
He said only Medikal and Kofi Kinaata called to congratulate and wish him well.
Kofi Kinaata, though he congratulated Kuami Eugene, has said that he is the genuine winner of that award, and Eugene himself is aware.
