Accra-Kumasi Highway: 3 persons dead in ghastly motor accident

Information reaching YEN.com.gh indicates that a commercial bus, popularly referred to as VVIP bus, has been involved in an accident

The bus with registration number GL 527-14 was involved in the accident at Amanase near Suhum, on the Accra to Kumasi highway, killing three passengers instantly and leaving several others badly injured.

Unfortunately, the three persons that died instantly, included a four-year-old child.

The incident reportedly occurred at 5:30 am on Tuesday, September 8, 2020.

The injured were rushed to the Suhum Government hospital for treatment, 3news.com reports.

Narrating the unfortunate incident, a staff of the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO), said the bus, which carried 43 passengers en route to Accra from Kumasi, developed a fault which caused the accident.

According to the eyewitness, the steering wheel locked so the driver attempted to apply the brake, causing the bus to veer off the road and crashed at the roadside.

In completely different news, dancehall superstar Shatta Wale, known in private life as Charles Nii Armah Mensah, has been involved in what would have been a disaster.

The Melissa hitmaker nearly ran over a boy on the streets while moving out of a compound with his entourage.

In a video of the indecent sighted YEN.com.gh, Shatta Wale who was part of a two-car convoy was driving in his new BMW car.
