WatsUp TV 24 hours digital channel starts broadcasting

- WatsUp TV, the popular pan-African entertainment show has moved from a TV show to full TV channel

- The channel has now started its test transmission and is urging Ghanaians to rescan their digital TV receptors to access the channel

- The move comes barely two weeks after the brand's CEO, Abd Traore, announced the impending switch

Award-winning pan African entertainment outfit, WatsUp TV, has metamorphosed into a full television channel.

The new move comes exactly six years after the WatsUp TV brand started its operations in Ghana.

From what YEN.com.gh understands, the station will be a 24-hour channel dedicated to music and entertainment activities.

Just like the mother brand, WatsUp TV will be focused on broadcasting entertainment and music contents to its viewers in Ghana and beyond through its digital platforms.

Already, the channel which is available on on the DVB-T2 (digital) frequency in Ghana commenced operations and it is in test transmission now.

Some of its shows to be aired include Top 10 Africa, Music Playlist, Exclusive Interview, Hot Jamz, Top 10 Francophone, WatsUp TV Official Show, Its Our Time, Fans Tweet Request and Daily News.

To access the channel in Ghana, viewers have been advised to rescan their digital television sets or digital decoders.

The switch comes barely two weeks after the brand's CEO, Abd Traore, revealed that WatsUp TV was going to be a full TV channel.

Traore who made the revelation during the sixth anniversary celebration of the channel promised it was going to come soon and tre to his words it has come very soon.

From its humble beginnings on ETV Ghana, the WatsUp Tv brand has gone through various stages and received a lot of viewership within and beyond Ghana.

In the past six years, WatsUp TV has expanded from Ghana to France, Nigeria, Ivory Coast, Burkina Faso and Guinea.

As earlier reported by YEN.com.gh, WatsUp TV signed a partnership agreement with Guinea-based Evasion TV and 3TV in Burkina Faso.

Per the agreement, WatsUp TV's Top 10 countdown and playlist shows will be featured on Canal+'s satellite platform across the over 40 countries and seven million homes.
