The news of Mr. Amponsah’s purported decision comes as a surprise to many Ghanaians, especially supports fans.
An example of interference cited is that some board members grant interviews with the media in their personal capacities for the club.
Joy Sports sources also said there was a fracas between Nana Yaw Amponsah and a board member, Dr. Kofi Abban.
The feud was a result of the board member promising to establish Kotoko TV, without consultation with CEO and other board members.
It is also alleged that the renovation of the Adako Jachie training complex has not started due to disagreement between the CEO and the board. According to the source, Amponsah had negotiated a good deal with the engineers but the board went to engage the engineers on a different plan.
