True love is rare. In modern society, relationships tend to be easily lost with not many willing to fight through the challenges one can be faced with when settling down. This is why love stories such as the one about this elderly couple are always so heartening.
Cleo Ehlers took to the feel-good Facebook group ImStaying to share the news of her parents, whose marriage has stood the test of time and reached its 60-year mark. Her post read as follows:
"My parents are celebrating 60 years of marriage today, remarkable! 1960. Diamond anniversary."
It was also accompanied by an adorable picture of the two lovebirds, who seem as in love as ever. Facebook users loved seeing the adoring post and shared their well wishes for the happy elderly couple.
"Happy anniversary! How cool you both stayed together on this wonderful journey of life... I salute you."
Khanya Nkosazana said:
"All the best lovebirds. 40 more to reach the great one. Everything is possible with God."
Anita van Rensburg said:
"Wonderful, Congratulations! God's richest blessings, love and protection!"
Meanwhile, popular Ghanaian media personality, Queen Afia Schwarzenegger, has advised every woman who is in an abusive marriage or relationship to leave their men for good.
In a post sighted by YEN.com.gh on her verified Instagram handle, Afia indicated that divorce was the best gift she ever gave herself.
The controversial Afia Schwarzenegger further explained that women should not think that marriage is what defines them by any means and choose to endure beatings to preserve that image.
