Popular Ghanaian media personality, Queen Afia Schwarzenegger, has advised every woman who is in an abusive marriage or relationship to leave their men for good.

In a post sighted by YEN.com.gh on her verified Instagram handle, Afia indicated that divorce was the best gift she ever gave herself.

The controversial Afia Schwarzenegger further explained that women should not think that marriage is what defines them by any means and choose to endure beatings to preserve that image.

Marriage does not define us, it is not a yardstick for success. A man that can hit you can kill you. Anyone that abuses you also block your blessings as well" she said.

Afia's words were inspired by her personal experience and triggered by the infamous incident that happened in Orlando in the United States when a Ghanaian pastor shot his own wife until she gave up the ghost.

Before concluding her advise, the media personality further advised women, saying:

Do not be fooled by society (to stay married) because all you will get from society is sorry, RIP, Damrifa Due, etc (when you die). And please report your abusers, don't take any threat for granted.
