President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has sworn-in eight justices of the High Court at a colorful ceremony Today, Wednesday, September 16, 2020.

The judges comprise three females and five males

They are, Her Honour Eva Bannerman-Williams, His Honour Emmanuel Bart-Plange Brew, His Honour Yaw Owoahene Acheampong, His Honour Samuel Boakye-Yiadom, His Honour Abdul Yusif Asibey, Mrs. Elfreda Amy Dankyi, Mr. Samuel Faraday Johnson, and Ms. Sheila Minta.

In a post sighted by YEN.com.gh, President Akufo-Addo said the eight were sworn in as justices on the advice of the Judicial Council.

He added that the eigth were eminently fit and qualified for the position of Justice of the High Court, with the impartiality of mind and independence of spirit to hold such a high office.

The swearing in of the eight new high court judges has drawn reactions from Ghanaians.
