Some Ghanaians have taken to social media to express their views on comments made by a member of the National Democratic Congress's (NDC) communication team, Sammy Gyamfi.
He recently made some comments about local football in the country and reportedly indicated that the next NDC government would pay huge sums to players and salary.
According to Sammy Gyamfi, local players who ply their trade in Ghana's local leagues would be entitled to up to GHC1,500 as their salary.
Sammy Gyamfi who happens to be the communications director of Ghana's current biggest opposition is reported to have indicated that his comments have been captured in the NDC's manifesto.
Players in the Ghana Premier League will receive an average salary of GH₵1,500 with support from the next National Democratic Congress government led by John Dramani Mahama.
This captured in the manifesto dubbed the Peopele's Manifesto, follows incessant calls made by players in the league for there to be a second look at their minimum wages.
The NDC manifesto promised the launch of a sports fund that will be dedicated to sports development in the country.
