As is usual of such memorable days, Madam Yamoah was sprayed with powder to congratulate her and was also seen holding a bottle of champagne.

In the background of the photo were some classmates of Madam Yamoah who were in a jubilant mood following the successful completion of their first major national exam.

The 60-year-old student is reported to have been Ghana's oldest BECE candidate for the 2020 batch of students and is looking to gain access to secondary education through the NPP's Free SHS programme.

Her story went viral after she was captured in a photo on the first day of the nationwide exams looking sharply dressed and set to brave the odds of sitting in the same class with kids young enough to be her grandchildren.
