President Akufo-Addo says NPP will win 2020 election with first-round victory

- President Akufo-Addo has said the NPP will win with a first-round victory

- He said he is confident Ghanaians will vote for him given his performance since coming into power in 2017

- The president also begged Ghanaians to vote for all NPP Parliamentary candidates in their constituencies

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo who is also the leader and flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has predicted that the NPP will win with a first-round victory in the upcoming December elections

He said the NPP is targeting a first-round victory because he is confident Ghanaians will vote for him given his performance so far since he became president.

Akufo-Addo reported made this declaration during a working tour to the Bono Region, where he addressed people of Berekum East and Berekum West, appealing for votes.

He appealed to the electorates to vote for him and the NPP Parliamentary candidates in the various constituency to ensure that the next term of the NPP brings more development.

Akufo-Addo noted that massive development can be felt if he gets to work with his own party members in parliament, therefore, the need for the people to avoid “skirt and blouse” voting in the upcoming elections.

The president thus used the occasion to introduce the parliamentary candidates of the two constituencies – Nelson Kyeremeh, and Kwaku Agyenim-Boateng, who represent the Berekum East and West, respectively.

I come to humbly ask you to vote for me and the Parliamentary candidate you have. It should be elephant for the presidency, and elephant for majority,” the president appealed.

Meanwhile, former president John Mahama and leader of the NDC, has said that God is not wicked to give Akufo-Addo four more years to lord it over Ghanaians.

He said the NPP has nothing to show for in their four years in government, adding that another four-year term could spell disaster for Ghana.

Mahama reportedly said: “God you are not wicked, God come and save us, God rescue us from the NPP”.

In a related development, Shatta Wale’s manager, Bulldog, known in real life as Lawrence Asiamah, has said that Akufo-Addo will lose the elections.

He said this will happen to the president and the NPP as a lesson for collapsing Menzgold and other financial institutions.
