Accident at Offinso in Ashanti Region allegedly kills 6 Ghanaian footballers

Reports trickling in has it that 6 young Ghanaian footballers have died as a result of a fatal accident at Offinso.

They were in a team of 36, and they were reportedly returning to Offinso from Afrancho for their Colts football registration exercise.

Unfortunately, on reaching Offinso, their vehicle crashed leading to the death of the six, on the night of Saturday, September 19, 2020.

24 of them are said to be receiving treatment at the St. Patrick Hospital in Offinso.

Fresh reports are indicating that 6 young footballers have lost their lives in a ghastly accident today 19th September 2020.

Meanwhile, Ghana has witnessed two major accidents in the past few days.

One of these sad incidents happened at Kyekerewa on the Accra-Kumasi Highway in which 10 people died while about 80 others sustained serious injuries.

There was another accident at Amanase, near Suhum, on the same Accra-Kumasi Highway in which three people died.

The VVIP bus with registration number GL 527-14 was involved in the accident killing the three passengers instantly and leaving several others badly injured.

Unfortunately, the three persons that died instantly, included a four-year-old child. The incident reportedly occurred at 5:30 am on Tuesday, September 8, 2020.
