Coronavirus Update: Ghana Premier League to resume on October 30 - Akufo-Addo
President Akufo-Addo has given the go-ahead for the Ghana Premier League to resume
According to him, teams would start training and stadia would take only 25% of their capacities on match days

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has indicated that national and club sporting activities can commence soon as he updated the nation in his 17th COVID-19 address.
While speaking from the Flagstaff House in Accra, Akufo-Addo indicated that the national teams can begin their respective training in earnest in anticipation of their international participation.
He added that all national team players who are capped must undergo constant testing throughout the training sessions so as to eliminate their chances of getting infected.

The president added that after several discussions with the board of the Ghana Premier League, it had been decided that the league can resume.
Akufo-Addo, in this respect, indicated that the Ghana Premier League and Division One Leagues can resume.
He gave the date for the leagues to kick-start as Friday, October 30, 2020.
The president of the republic went on to indicate that all playing and non-playing staff of all clubs in the respective leagues must undergo vigorous testing on a regular basis to limit infections.
Still, on the matter of the Ghana Premier League, President Akufo-Addo said that all stadia that would be seeing footballi9ng action on match days would take only 25% of their capacity.
He added that measures would be put in place to also ensure that fans are made to sit while observing social distancing and COVID-19 safety protocols.
Meanwhile, the founder and leader of the Ghana Freedom Party (GFP), Akua Donkor, has been spotted on a political campaign flier in her bid to contest for the presidency in December 2020.
The flier which was spotted by YEN.com.gh on Instagram showed the popular female politician beaming with her signature smile as she looked into the camera.
The flier clearly stated the politician's intent as it was written on it boldly: "Akua Donkor for President 2020"
On the flier, Akua Donkor had the slogan "Eny3 3no Nono" also written on it.
