Reverend Owusu Bempah, the leader of Glorious Word Church, has said that contrary to photos and reports, he never apologised to the National Chief Imam was widely reported.

Owusu Bempah made the headlines in 2019 following his infamous prophecy that the chief Imam, Dr. Shiekh Osmanu Nuhu Sharabutu, was going to die before the end of 2019.

This angered the youth of the Muslim community that they went after Bempah during a church service wielding machetes and all sorts of violent weapons.

Soon after, Owusu Bempah was seen in the house of the Chief Imam with others to beg and ask for forgiveness.

However, a year after, he has denied the reports, saying that he was there to have a meeting with the Chief Imam and not to beg him for anything, according to a report sighted by YEN.com.gh on Ghpage.com

He visited the Chief Imam on two occasions after the incident, and on one occasion, he was seen with a huge cow while he begged and asked for peace from the Muslim youth.

Now, Bempah has changed the story totally. According to him, the cow was gifted to the chief imam by one of his spiritual children who just felt like giving that gift to the chief imam.

He further called on Ghanaians to disregard the stories that he went to beg the chief imam, saying that such reports are false.

Owusu Bempah added that if he should ever go to apologise to the chief imam, it will amount to him betraying God because the prophecy came from him.

He has been in the news for saying that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) will never come to power again and its flagbearer, John Mahama, will also be disgraced at the December 2020 polls.
