- The driver of the STC sprinter with registration number GG 4054 - 19 that was burnt to ashes at Ho has recounted how it all happened

- According to him, he was even lucky to have made it out alive because the incident happened at 2 am and he was fast asleep in the car

The driver of the State Transport Corporation (STC) vehicle that was burnt at the dawn of September 29, 2020, at the Volta Regional capital has recounted the incident.

In a video sighted by YEN.com.gh on the official Facebook handle of Star1035fm, the driver mentioned that he was, somewhat, lucky to have made it out alive.

According to him, he was sleeping at about two o'clock in the morning when the fire was set inside his car by one of the four men who stormed the yard.

"When I saw the fire, I immediately got forced my way out onto the ground where I met one of the men who pointed a gun at me and asked me to kneel down", he recalls.

A video taken in and around the sprinter with registration number GG 4054 - 19 showed that the car was burnt to ashes as all the seats were consumed in the flames, leaving only the metallic frames.

The police have, reportedly, started conducting investigations into the issue to find the perpetrators and bring them to book for the crime.

As YEN.com.gh earlier reported, the State Transport Corporation (STC) has had one of its minibuses burnt by unknown persons at Ho, the Volta Regional Capital.

According to a report sighted by YEN.com.gh on the verified Facebook handle of renowned journalist, Israel Laryea, a number of drivers at the station were assaulted.

This follows last Friday’s attack blamed on secessionists calling themselves by different forms of identifications. On September 25, 2020, the nation woke up to the trending news of several routes to the Volta Region getting blocked by members of the different secessionist groups.
