Afia Vida, a beautiful high school student at Teshie in Accra, has become the only female repairing phones at the Kwame Nkrumah Circle in Accra.

In a powerful video interview with SV TV Africa sighted by YEN.com.gh, the young lady also known as Mary mentioned that she has been in the business for three to four months so far.

According to her, she is in the second year and decided to get herself engaged in the business because of the COVID-19 lockdown that compelled them to be at home.

Mary hails from Dansoman and has been working at Circle to make enough money to fend for herself when school resumes.

The science student further indicated that when she initially pitched her idea to learn the art to her parents, they mentioned that it was a man's job but did not discourage her from pursuing it.

Currently, Mary says she is able to open up different kinds of phones to diagnose hardware problems and also repairs phones with the screen-touch feature.

In the footage, Poyoo indicated that although he had loved to entertain people since he was 'in his mother's womb,' his family and friends thought he could not make it in the industry and therefore discouraged him.
