Opoku Ware Secondary School has proved their mettle to pip Holy Child Senior High School and Wesley Girls Senior High School to a semi-final place at the ongoing National Science and Maths Quiz.
The even which just ended, took place at the campus of the University of Ghana, Legon in Accra.
At the end of the contest, Wesley Girls managed 37 points, Holy Child Senior High School pulled 40 points and the ultimate winners, Opoku Ware got 49 points.
One of the sponsors of the competition, ABSA Bank award the third-placed school, Wesley Girls Senior High School with a cash prize of GHC1,400.
Holy Child Senior High School walked away with GHC1,600.
The winner of the day of the contest, Opoku Ware Senior High School, were gifted GHC1,960 for their gallant effort.
The competition was filled with so much suspense as representatives of the three schools made themselves and schools proud by answering mind-blowing science and maths questions in just split seconds.
