Eunice Carter, born in 1899, was a female Black lawyer whose successes made her rise far about the limitations of race and gender.

According to a report sighted by YEN.com.gh on Blackhistory.com, it is indicated that by the 1940s, Eunice Carter's professional and political successes had made her one of the most famous Black women in America.

The brilliant Black American lawyer was a granddaughter to slaves who managed to soar high enough to attend Smith College before becoming a woman prosecutor in New York City in the 1930s.

Because of the brilliance of Eunice Carter, her career as a lawyer hit its peak when she was able to successfully take down one of the most notorious criminals in the history of America.

It is reported that that according to a biography written by her grandson, Stephen Carter, she actually came up with the strategy to take down Lucky Luciano, the most powerful Mafia boss in history.

With the genius of Eunice, Lucky Luciano was convicted in 1936 and she later became the only non-white male to be selected among 20 lawyers to clean up the underworld of New York.

In another interesting report by YEN.com.gh, a Ghanaian market lady who identifies herself as Comfort Brobbey has narrated how her dream to become a policewoman never came to pass.

In an interview with SV TV sighted by YEN.com.gh on the official YouTube channel of the organization, Comfort indicated that she was told her height was not up to the requirement of the police force.
