Award-winning Ghanaian hiplife artiste Emmanuel Kofi Botchwey known in the world of entertainment as Kwaw Kese has spoken about the COVID-19 fee charged at the airport.
In a new video sighted by YEN.com.gh on the official Instagram page of Kwaw Kese, the Abodam crooner was bemoaning the exorbitant fee being charged travellers coming by air to Ghana.
According to Kwaw Kese, the $150 being charged by authorities at the Kotoka International Airport for COVID-19 test was too high and tantamount to extortion.
He added that he was at a loss as to why the airport authorities would charge so much for a test that costs so little elsewhere.
In citing a typical example, Kwak Kese revealed that it cost only $5 to run a COVID-19 test in Ghana and that the amount being charged by Ghanaian authorities were rather unreasonable.
The singer quizzed if Ghana was for sale to be charging so high for the COVID-19 test for passengers coming into the country by air.
Kwaw Kese who is still in the United States of America, revealed that e was not prepared to pay such a huge amount for just a test for COVID-19.
The hiplife star also added that he had run the test and was sure that he was not a carrier of the dreaded COVID-19.
