My party would win the 2020 elections with 65% of votes - GUM leader Osofo Kyiri Abosom brags

The flagbearer of the Ghana Union Movement (GUM), Reverend Christian Kwabena Andrews, also known as Osofo Kyiri Abosom believes his party will win the December 2020 polls with 65% votes.

According to Osofo Kyiri Abosom, his party is doing the actual grassroots campaign and the fruit of their labour will materialize on December 7, 2020.

“We are on the ground. The elites are being deceived by what they see in the cities. This is the same mistakes Nkrumah’s opponents made.

They did not know Nkrumah had the masses until he took them by surprise. NPP started in the 90s, our party is only new but we are going to take them by surprise.”

Osofo Kyirabosom made the remarks in a media interview after submitting his nomination form to the Electoral Commission (EC) on Tuesday, October 6, 2020.

Osofo Kyiri Abosom appoints Alhaji Abu Lukeman as running mate

Rev. Andrews, flagbearer has already appointed Alhaji Abu Grant Lukman as his running mate for the 2020 general elections.

Lukman is said to have vast experience and acumen from the private sector.

Rev Andrews, who is also the founder and General Overseer of Life Assembly Worship Centre, has promised to build a territorial polity based on united and all-inclusive political pluralism, similar to the Charter of Medina which was approved by all and signed by the Prophet Mohamed.

Meanwhile, the founder and leader of the Ghana Freedom Party (GFP), Akua Donkor, has been spotted on a political campaign flier in her bid to contest for the presidency in December 2020.

The flier which was spotted by on Instagram showed the popular female politician beaming with her signature smile as she looked into the camera.

The flier clearly stated the politician's intent as it was written on it boldly: "Akua Donkor for President 2020"

On the flier, Akua Donkor had the slogan "Eny3 3no Nono" also written on it.

What however caught the eyes of many was the many campaign promises that were squeezed below Akua Donkor's photo.

Among many other things, the Ghana Freedom Party was planning to give a number of goodies to Ghanaians should they be voted into power come December 2020.

Some of the promises made by the party included giving Ghanaians free access to all the country's ports, one-year maternity leave, free fertilizer and cutlass for farmers, inclusion of local language in parliament, free education, water and electricity.
