Not everyone can afford to go to university but some people work hard to make their dreams a reality. One man, Jon Lyon, took to Twitter share how he hustled to put himself through university.

Lyon took part in a social media challenge where he detailed how his life has changed over a couple of years.

He captioned the post:

"How it started vs how it is going. Hustle for University Application fee 2012 vs 2016 UCT Alumni."

Earlier, it was reported on a similar story. A stunning young lady with the Twitter handle @pretty_hun_ (Nondumiso Mthembu) has shared her many passions and talents on the social networking site.

Nondumiso shared an article about herself from 2015 when she represented South Africa at the International Youth Science Expo in London. The second image she shared is a more recent one of her posing outside the Royal Academy of Engineering in London.

She shared the images as part of the "how it started vs how it's going " trend on Twitter. A follower with the handle @Sidunane asked her if she was doing both engineering and law. Nondumiso responded to his tweet with: "Studying law, doing engineering and innovation on the side."

Meanwhile, an inspiring young lady is making waves after she joined in on the: "How it started vs how it's going" trend but with a little twist. @Mbavha_Mashige started a shadow job at a pharmacy when she was still in school.

In 2018, she tweeted that she had passed and was officially a Wits Pharmacy 4th student at the tender age of 20. Last year she tweeted that she had earned a Wits Pharmacy degree. She referred to herself as a "village girl."
