A photoshoot which evoked emotions was set up for a newborn whose mother was killed by a drunk driver in California, United States.

The baby's father identified as James Alvarez was walking out with his wife on August 11, when a drunk driver killed the 23-year-old lady named Yesenia Aguilar.

The young lady was 35 weeks pregnant at the time, and while doctors couldn't save her, they did deliver her daughter via C-section, Daily Mail reports.

In some images, the cute baby could be seen posing with a picture of her late mother and some of the deceased's favourite things.

The baby had her little hand resting on a photo from her mother's maternity shoot. Other things she posed with included her mother's favourite flowers and her wedding veil.

Meanwhile, it was previously reported that Nehemiah Adejoh, the suspect who drove the car that killed Nigeria’s first female combat helicopter pilot, Tolulope Arotile, said he never intended to kill the flying officer.

The suspect told a Kaduna magistrate court on Thursday, August 20, that he mistakenly ran over the deceased.

Adejoh was reported to be the one behind the steering of the vehicle that knocked down Arotile on July 11 before she was pronounced dead at the Nigerian Air Force hospital.
