The meeting which was held on Sunday, October 11, 2020, saw president Akufo-Addo meeting with the President of Mali's Transitional Government, His Excellency Bah N’daw.
In a post shared on Facebook, President Akufo-Addo noted that he also held separate meetings with the Vice President, Colonel Assimi Goita; the Prime Minister, Moctar Ouane; Members of the Diplomatic Corps.
At a meeting held at the Koulouba Palace, the seat of the Malian Presidency, President N’daw applauded the decision by President Akufo-Addo to convene a meeting to resolve the deadlock in Mali immediately after his election as ECOWAS Chair.
According to the Interim Malian President, it was as a result of President Akufo-Addo’s proactiveness and the decisions reached at the Peduase Meeting of the ECOWAS Authority that resulted in the appointment of an Interim President, a Vice-President and a Prime Minister for Mali.
President Akufo-Addo also took the opportunity to interact with members of the Ghanaian Community resident in Mali.

In other news, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has expressed shocked and sadness at the news of the murder of the Member of Parliament for Mfantseman constituency, Ekow Kwansa Hayford.
The death of the MP reportedly took place in the early hours of Friday, September 9, 2020 at Dominase in the Central region on his way back from a campaign.
In a post sighted by YEN.com.gh, the president noted that his encounter with the MP was on June 30, 2020, when he commissioned a water supply project at Anomansa, in his constituency.
