- Stonebwoy has doled out cash to purchase some walking aids for some visually impaired in the Ashanti region

Dancehall musician Stonebwoy has shown love and commitment in support of some visually impaired residents of the Ashanti region by buying them canes.

The dancehall star also pledged to help raise funds to purchase more walking aids for the blind and partially-blind residents of the region.

While visiting the region, Ultimate FM's Ivan Heathcote – Fumador approached the Sobolo crooner and asked for his widow's mite ahead of the International White Cane Safety Day.

Out of the abundance of his heart and being touched by the daily struggles of visually impaired people, Stonebwoy doled out GHC 400 for some canes to be purchased.

Checks made revealed that the walking aid for the visually impaired normally called 'canes' is sold at GHC70 apiece.

The Putuu boss went on to pledge to do more in the coming weeks to help push for more canes to be acquired to support the visually impaired in the region and in the country by extension.

Out of the over 5000 members of the Ghana Blinds Union in the Ashanti Region, reports have it that over 4,700 have expressed their need for the canes to aid their movement.

After the kind gesture, Stonebwoy cautioned drivers, street hawkers and the general populace to respect and offer help to all persons who they find walking with the canes.

The Ghana Blinds Union in the Ashanti Region is taking advantage of the week’s world sight day and white cane safety day, to solicit funds from the public to purchase as many white canes as possible to share among its members.

Meanwhile, Ghanaian actress and social media goddess, Andrea Owusu, popularly known as Efia Odo, has caused a stir with her new photo on social media which saw her with a man.
