News reaching YEN.com.gh indicates that the secret second wife of the slained Member of Parliament for the Mfantseman constituency, Ekow Quansah Hayford has emerged.
Unknown to his first wife who until recently was a uniformed policewoman, the late MP was married to another woman.
However, according to a report filed by Kasapafmonline, the late lawmaker has all this while been legally married to two accomplished women.

The second wife, whose name and identity has popped up as Sarah Quansah Hayford, said when she met Ekow Quansah in 2009, he told her he was divorced and then proceeded to marry her on June 8, 2013.
According to the report, they had a public event which saw the attendance of both family and friends.

Sarah stated that she later got to know that he was still married to his first wife when she called in 2016 to confront her.
“At the time Ophelia called me, I had been married to Ekow for the past three years and living with him at Tarkwa. Feeling very shocked, I called my husband and asked him who Ophelia was? He told me to ignore her whenever she calls me and I told him he needed to explain things to me because the woman keeps sending me text messages,'" she said.
It happens that the late MP was not bold enough to tell his second wife that he was still legally married to his first wife.
It emerged that he had not officially divorced his first wife as he indicated but he couldn’t tell me the truth, the reason why I agreed to marry him. I asked what was the way forward and my late husband told me that he’ll sort out the issue and so I was waiting for his action.
She also indicated that before his death, they have been living together at Tarkwa and he occasionally visited his mother on weekends.
YEN.com.gh earlier reported that the NPP has chosen the wife of the murdered MP, Ekow Hayford, as his replacement for the party in the upcoming December elections.
The wife, Ophelia Hayford, is an Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), was reportedly selected by the party at a meeting held on Tuesday, October 13, 2020.
The late MP was murdered in a suspected armed robbery case on the Duadze road around 1 at midnight on his return from a campaign tour.
He was said to have begged his assailants when they attacked him, indicating that he was an MP, but they went ahead and shot him.
