Yidana Sulemana Mohammed Awal, a talented Ghanaian author's works have gained global recognition as some of his books have been accepted in Ivy League Universities.

A report by Africaneyereport.com, who had a one-on-one interview with Awal confirms that Harvard, Oxford, Princeton, Stanford and many other schools have accepted Awal's books particularly his second play in their libraries.

Awal's second play is titled ‘Madman and the Drunkards’, and it is a satirical comedy that was written for a global readership.

According to the brilliant Ghanaian author, he chalked this feat through hard work and his voracious desire to produce good materials for the reading public, and not by any form of lobbying.

Putting this in perspective, he pronounced the rule of thumb that says,

“To go global, is to have good content. Your writings must address world issues, not just your village or country”.

Yidana reportedly started writing at the age of 19.

Previously, his dream was to become a musician and he wrote songs and raps, some of which got recorded but he later found a profound love for writing and decided to veer into that aspect instead.

In another powerful report by YEN.com.gh, Sandister Tei, a Ghanaian Wikimedian and journalist, has been awarded as the 2020 Wikimedian of the year by the worldwide organization.

A report by medium.com indicates that Tei contributed heavily to the Wikipedia articles about COVID-19's effects in Ghana, ensuring the public record included Ghana in the story of how the pandemic is shaping the world.
