Ghanaian actress Nana Ama McBrown has revealed that before she became known as McBrown, her colleagues called her Condom as a nickname.
She said her colleague actor Fred Amugi was the one who gave her that name to befit her role as an armed robber’s girlfriend in her very first movie titled That Day.
The called Nana Ama, McBrown said, the owner of Miracle Film had invited her to take up that role after the one designated for it did not come that day.
Apparently, the directors had seen her good performance as a costumier and believed she could do well in acting too, and so, they found in her a better option.
“Fred Amugi gave me that name. When he was asked to give me a name, she said looking at my role and behaviour, condom is fine for you. Since then, I became known as condom before McBrown,” Nana Ama narrated.
Please, fast-forward to the 14th minute to watch her speak on that subject:
Meanwhile, Nana Ama had revealed years ago that McBrown is not her real name, but rather, one suggested by her aunty’s husband whom she lived with.
According to her, the uncle saw her talent as an actress and suggested she got a “nice name for her career.
Her real name is Felicia Nana Ama Agyemang.
She has also trended in the news following a statement she made that she would not tolerate it if any teacher should touch her daughter Baby Maxin in anyway.
McBrown said she will close down the school if any teacher should dare spank or beat her daughter when she starts schooling.
The actress has given reasons why she would take that action in an earlier report by YEN.com.gh.
